• Includes hands-on training (patients will be provided), implant lectures and the initial membership fee to the nationwide study group for SI dentists. You will also have rights to use the company’s lab.
Core 2: Review of Placement Principles and Surgical Placement
-Each doctor will place 3-5 implants on a live patient, while a faculty member is behind them supporting them on their first placement
-Each doctor will have to complete the minimum of 3 placements on their own to get certification of completion of the course
-Each doctor will have to run a CBCT on their surgical patient and be able to demonstrate competency to get certification of completion of the course
-Each doctor will gain use and application of the Acteon surgical unit
-By completing this course, each student will be able to come back to the Institute for advanced training on more live patients. This will help the student gain additional placement experience on their own as their skills continue to grow.
-At the end of this two-day surgical course, the doctor will be able to place immediate implants and fresh placements in the maxilla and mandible.
-At the end of this two-day surgical portion of this course, the doctor will be able to take a case and appropriately diagnose a treatment plan.
Extractions and Grafting- (Trained with SI Biologics Materials)
-Each doctor will be able to extract 5-7 teeth using the atraumatic extraction technique using the Acteon Piezo unit.
-Each doctor will have to complete a minimum of three grafting techniques on live patients on their own to be signed off by the faculty to pass the class.
-Each doctor will have to complete an extraction and graft using the new SI allograft sponge with the SI Force Stem Cell system™.
-Each doctor will have to do a minimum of one implant placement that is an extraction and graft with a membrane.
-The students will be introduced to all allograft materials and membranes that are used in regarding to grafting a site.
-Each student will obtain knowledge on prices of grafts and membrane UCR charges to add to their personal practices to increase profits.
Cone Beam Training (Trained on a cone beam from Acteon)
–During this section, students will be trained on how to take a CBCT scan on a patient
-Each doctor will be trained on how to use a cone beam program to be able to analyze it properly. After analysis, each doctor should be able to plan a surgery to determine implant size and position before surgery.
-Each doctor will receive a CBCT on the patients that they will be working on at the surgical portion of the course at the beginning of the first day. This will allow the doctor to prepare for the case before they get started.
-Each doctor (after the surgery has been performed) will have to be able to take a scan of their patient of their own. The doctor then should be able to demonstrate to the instructor that the post-op position and location is ideal.
-Each doctor will be signed off by a CBCT trainer to pass the class.
